Huangshan in China, Anhui
Introduction :
Huangshan is also known as the Yellow Mountain where Huang means Yellow in Chinese and Shan means mountains and hills in Chinese. Huangshan is a mountain range located in the southern part of Anhui province in China. Huangshan is particularly well known for its scenery, unique pine tress and natural shaped granite peaks, frequently making an appearance in Chinese paintings by Chinese artists in ancient and modern times. Huangshan was named as an UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1990 and is also rated a AAAAA tourist attraction in China.

History :
The formation of Huangshan dates back to 100 million years ago during the Quatemary Glaciation in the Ice Age. During the Qin Dynasty of around 200 BC, it was known as Yishan, Mount Yi and the name was altered to Huangshan in honor of the legendary Yellow Emperor who is the first emperor in the history of China during 747 AD by the Tang Dynasty emperor. The stone steps in Huangshan is believe to have been carved into the side of the mountain over 1500 years ago.

The nearest international airport to Huangshan is the Huangshan Tunxi International Airport located in the Huangshan City. It is mainly served by domestic flights and international flights from Taiwan in Taipei-Taoyuan and South Korea in Seoul-Incheon
